SUPPORTIVE SUPPLEMENTS
Often when animals are sick they should not be forced to eat. Many of them will enter process called HEALING CRISIS when they stop eating in order to use energy to heal themselves rather than to use energy to process food. However, it is super important, that during this process, nutritional support be provided to ensure they get needed nutrients. COLOSTRUM is the first on the list of supportive supplements to give sick animal. Human dose, mixed with water & administered a few times a day, is suggested for sick animals no matter what size they are. Scoop inside the container is measured for human dose & there are 200 human servings per jar
RE-BORNE is the only colostrum on the market that is in liquid form. This is the best of the best. I have used this to save a puppy through a long recovery from parvo, and when nothing else work to solidify it’s poop, this colostrum solidified it in a week. Very pricey, about $70 for 450 ml and $30 overnight shipping due to its perishable state. BUT WHEN SAVING LIFE THIS IS TOTALLY WORTH IT !
REBOUND has separate formula for cats & dogs.
It is given to aid kitten/puppy in recovery from illness.
I suggested this to one of the fellow rescuers.. and after using it, this is what she had to say about it…
THIS IS DOG FORMULA

TRANSFER FACTOR
This formula comes in both kitten & puppy formula. It is suppose to help support pets’ optimal health.
TRANSFER FACTOR – human formula
In absence of pet transfer factor and lack of availability of it in local stores, human version can be used instead.
RAW ORGANIC HONEY TO MAINTAIN SUGAR LEVELS
Always use honey to help keep the pets’ sugar levels up. Sugar is much better than karo syrup, as honey retains sugar levels much longer than karo. Honey should be raw & organic. The darker the better. ALWAYS USE PLASTIC SPOON IN HONEY as metal will cause chemical reaction that will cancel medicinal potency of honey. For tiny babies up to 3 months give small pinky nail amount straight in their mouth or diluted in a tiny amount of water (1/3 of t spoon) & administered with syringe.
EACH TIME YOU ADMINISTER MEDICINES WITH SYRINGE, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DO IT THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE MOUTH, SLOWLY & CAREFULLY AS NOT TO ASPIRATE PUPPY OR KITTEN.
CAT NIP
Herb used to STIMULATE APPETITE. Cat nip can be used as tea… ALWAYS USE STOVE TO BOIL WATER, REMOVE FROM STOVE, ADD HERB, COVER, LET IT SIT 1 MINUTE, STRAIN, LET IT COOL AND ADMINISTER.
1 t-spoon of tea per 10 lbs of body weight, administered 2 x a day
CATNIP ALSO COMES IN LIQUID TINCTURE (as any other herb)
STINGING NETTLE reverses Anemia rather fast
PLEASE SEE PAGE ON HERB DOSING
RESTORAPET restores wellness in older & younger pets. It contains Vitalitrol®, a remarkable, carbon-based “super antioxidant” that starts to work with 1st administered dose to rehabilitate & protect nearly every type of cell in pet’s body
ANOTHER AID WHILE DEALING WITH A SICK PET & THEIR RECOVERY, IS BONE BROTH. COSTCO SELLS ORGANIC BONE BROTH – TWO 8 OZ BOTTLES FOR ABOUT $7.00
WHETHER IT IS FOR YOUNG OR OLD, HEALTHY OR SICK PET, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH BONE BROTH ! DOSAGE DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF PET… THIS IS FOOD SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SUPER CAREFUL DOSING IT, HOWEVER BE CAREFUL WITH TINY PETS.
“IF ANIMAL IS LUCKY TO ENTER A STATE OF HEALING CRISES, IT WILL VERY LIKELY HEAL AND SURVIVE” stated a world renown DR. MARTIN GOLDSTEIN in his book “The Nature of Animal Healing”. Animals stop eating to be able to use energy needed to heal their body instead of using energy to digest & process food. It is absolutely crucial to be under guidance of qualified Holistic practitioner, during pet’s “fasting” phase, so that you are informed what supportive supplements and nutrients are needed, what amount and how often. In addition, if pet is not drinking on its own, fluids must be administered as well. Please seek help and guidance of a qualified professional.
I learned about “HEALING CRISES” state in summer of 2016, during my 1st doctorate course, a year later after I helped save Ally… A 12 week old German Sheppard, emaciated to skin & bones and about to be put down by vet for not eating 4 days while fighting vet induced Parvo ! ALLY did not eat a total of 13 days and survived on a blend of COLOSTRUM, MANUKA HONEY, PROBIOTICS & BONE BROTH given to her every 3 hrs. Saving Ally was a milestone that brought me into “SAVING ANIMALS WORLD”.
Today, after several years of going through a tremendous amount of education through my doctorate program and learning about pets’ health from Dr. Martin Goldstein, Dr. Karen Becker, Dr. Richard Pitcarin, Dr. Deva Khalsa, Dr Andrew Jones and other world leading authorities on pets’ health and doing research on pets’ health products, I know and share many alternative avenues needed to save pets’ lives. Do we get to save them all? The answer is sadly no, but we save many and can save even more if we just knew what to do when vets give us a sad prognosis and fail saving pets with their knowledge of Allopathic medicine alone. I know there will be a day when Allopathic and Holistic will integrate more, but for now, if you want to save a pet, reach out to those who are combining Allopathic and Holistic medicine to save more pets, as Dr. Jessica Palacios and I are embracing.
