Heartworm Prevention & Treatment

HEARTWORM IS NOT SO EASILY CONTRACTED !

Heartworm is only a potential threat ! Only a small number of dogs die of heartworm. In order for the microfilaria to reach the next life stage cycle, which allows them to grow into adult worm, they have to be sucked out of infected dog’s body by another mosquito, go through the other stages of their maturity inside the mosquito, before they are passed back to the dog by another mosquito bite and reenter the bloodstream with the ability to grow into adult worms.

Here’s some news for you … heartworm meds don’t prevent heartworm at all.
They kill heartworm larvae that are already in your dog. Your dog’s heartworm meds work by poisoning the mosquito larvae (microfilaria) before they develop into adult worms, which migrate to your dog’s pulmonary artery and cause heartworm symptoms. Simply stated, this means you’re feeding your dog poison every month to clear those larvae out of his system. Chemical heartworm preventatives work by continual administration of a low dose of insecticide to kill any developing microfilariae (microscopic sized baby worms). Herbal preventatives work in a similar fashion, using herbs instead of pesticides. NEITHER method kills adult heartworms, so regular testing for heartworm, at least every 6 months, is absolutely necessary regardless of what method you choose for prevention.

Does that seem like a healthy way to keep your dog disease-free? What if I told you it was possible to prevent heartworm without those meds? Would you jump at the chance to put one less toxin into your dog? Of course you would!
Especially since heartworms are becoming resistant to those drugs and every year, more and more dogs on preventives are getting heartworm. This is how you can safely replace those toxic drugs with a simple test. Not only is it more effective than heartworm meds, it can also save you money. And best of all, it will save your dog from that little monthly pill. It’s time to take a look at preventing heartworm naturally and drug-free!

We were excited when Dr Peter Dobias shared this simple strategy with us and I know this tip will give you and your dog a stress-free and heartworm-free summer! Check out the article now: http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/dont-give-dogs-heartworm-meds-shouldnt-either/

Bellow was posted on the health forum at the Kingdom College of Natural Health…

A friend of mine was going to LA for the cancer specialist for one of her dogs.

At the beginning of cancer treatment dog tested positive for heart worm.

At the end of cancer treatment heartworm was gone.

3 major herbs for cancer treatment are black walnut, cloves and wormwood.
Well those same herbs are used tor humans for parasite cleanse.

In heartworm positive dogs the key is not to kill heart worm conventionally as then heart worm particles may travel and cause another set of health issues.
You also need to keep dog contained and prevent any activity for a prolonged period of time.

With holistic medicine worms die as a whole and the body expels them in their own way.

HEARTWORM PREVENTION

Herbal Formulas are intended for use as a preventative to be used during mosquito season as part of a comprehensive heartworm control program. The formulas are designed with two objectives, using herbs that work together to reduce the likelihood of mosquito bites to lower your pet’s risk of becoming infected, and to help eliminate existing larvae-stage parasites in the bloodstream. This tincture was developed to help prevent heartworm infestation using extracts of herbs well known for their mosquito repelling properties, and others well known for their anti-parasitic properties.

Heartworm disease (adult heartworm infestation in the heart and lungs) is a very serious health concern and treatment for heartworm disease should ALWAYS be guided by a veterinarian. If your pet already has heartworms, then we would suggest the Para-Gone Herbal Formula. If your pet has heartworm disease, then you should consult a veterinarian and follow a traditional heartworm disease treatment program, as elimination of heartworm can be complicated and carries additional risks to an animal’s health.

As with all herbal remedies and treatments, the healthier the animal is overall, the more effective the treatment will be. Providing your companion with the best diet along with proper health-supportive products for optimal health will go a long way to preventing disease and making them less appealing and susceptible to parasites.

There are also natural heart worm prevention herbal formulas for dogs & cats…
