MOST LIKELY YOU WILL BE USING 1/4 CUP OF WATER & 1/2 SCOOP OF POWDER THIS WILL DEPEND ON HOW MANY KITTENS YOU HAVE…

1 CUP WATER & 2 SCOOPS POWDER

1/2 CUP WATER & 1 SCOOP POWDER

1/4 CUP WATER & 1/2 SCOOP POWDER

1/8 CUP WATER & 1/4 SCOOP POWDER (or 1 flat tsp or 4 flat taster spoons)

1/16 CUP WATER (1 Tbs) & 1/8 SCOOP POWDER (1/2 flat tsp or 2 flat taster spoons)

In addition it is highly recommended that colostrum be added to good formula or goat milk. The super concentrated powder formula is sold exclusively at I Herb for $21.00 and free shipping on purchases over $25.00. There is 200 human servings in this container and about 800 servings for tiny kittens ! If they are sick or malnutritioned, double or triple their daily dose.

If you have a very sick animal or kittens then I would also suggest RE-BORNE the only liquid colostrum that I found on the market ! Yes it is very pricey but if you are trying to save life then it is worth it !

I used this colostrum in helping long term side effects of parvo when puppy’s poop would not solidify after two months post parvo ! Within a week of using re-borne puppy poop went to completely normal !

Re-Borne comes in different sizes and the best is 450 ml as you can freeze this up to 1 yr ! As I just looked at their wet site I do not see that size.

FEEDING POSITION

MAKE SURE KITTENS/PUPPIES ARE IN THE CORRECT FEEDING POSITION WHICH IS ON THEIR TUMMIES !!!

ASPIRATION

Never feed a kitten on its back with a syringe or dropper which allows formula into the lungs and causes pneumonia

Let the baby suck the fluid at its own pace.

If the ears start to bob, the kitten is getting just the right amount of formula.

When a kitten has had enough formula, bubbles will form around its mouth, and its tummy will be rounded.

If formula bubbles out the nostrils, pull back immediately ‑ you are drowning the kitten.

If a suckling kitten aspirates formula into its lungs, immediately hold it upside down until the choking subsides.

If a kitten does inhale milk or is rescued from drowning, prompt clearing of the lungs can prevent aspiration pneumonia.

Hold the kitten firmly, and shake it sharply downwards supporting its neck (much like clearing a baby’s lungs after birth).

If one of the kittens gets air in its lungs, hold upside down until any coughing or choking goes away.
