When selecting colors always chose shades of blue as that is healing color. Tiny animals always need healing to thrive as most of you have orphaned fur babies in your care !
Be mindful of your money ! Check Amazon, Petco, Chewy, E-bay and compare prices for the same item so you do not pay $30.00 for something you can get for $15.00 on another web site. In rescue & fostering every penny counts !
Playpen is excellent to get 4 week old kittens & puppies to start moving & getting their muscles strong.

Give kittens a place to climb & sharpen their claws… I had the leopard structure but I took the platform off & left scratching pole while putting tennis ball on the screw to protect them from it. I laid platform inside the playpen so they could still lay on it. When they were 6-8 weeks old I put the platform back on and that was their favorite hang out. At times I would find 3 of them playing or sleeping together !

Give them a place to hide… this was very cute little house yet it did not crowd the playpen. It is also foldable and has a scratch pad.

Give them toys. You can get all sort of inexpensive toys at Dollar Tree or $.99 stores. Rite aid also has those toys on the rope tied to the stick in “dollar section”. Play with them using this toy, but make sure that once you are done playing to remove the toy from their reach as there is potential for kittens legs to get tangled in the cord and have their circulation cut off ! YOU DO NOT WANT THIS HAPPENING SO PLEASE REMOVE TOY WHEN YOU ARE DONE PLAYING WITH THEM.
The below mouse can be purchased at Walmart or Amazon. They love these and they still play with them.
My last little bunch… discovered October 24, 2019 after I heard the gray kitten cry so loud that I heard him across the street from a busy supermarket parking lot.
This is Miffy, originally thought to be a girl until we discovered it was a boy. Thanks to him, his siblings & feral mama were rescued & living happily ever after !

Have fun designing your own set up. Make sure toys are safe and that kittens are safe as well. Know when to give them higher structures to climb. Enjoy them during your foster time with them as rescue & foster life is not an easy one…
